What is the difference between a foot care nurse and a podiatrist?

A foot care nurse provides nursing assessments, preventative education and non-surgical nail and skin care within nursing scope. A podiatrist is a different type of regulated professional who can diagnose and treat additional foot and ankle conditions. If your needs are outside nursing foot care, we can recommend appropriate follow-up.
